Tourists planning to visit scenic destinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—such as Naran, Kaghan, and Lake Saif-ul-Malook—will now be required to pay an entry fee, as per new government directives.
According to official documents, no visitor will be allowed entry without paying the specified fee. A formal decision has been made to introduce these charges in the Kaghan Valley, with a designated collection point being set up at Hassamabad.
Under the new fee structure, Rs. 200 will be charged for large vehicles, Rs. 100 for small vehicles, and Rs. 20 for motorcycles. Local residents, however, will be exempt from the charges.
The government anticipates collecting millions of rupees each month through this initiative. The funds will support the Kaghan Development Authority and will be reinvested in enhancing tourist facilities and services in the region.
Secretary Tourism Dr. Abdul Samad stated that the purpose of the fee is to boost revenue and improve the quality of tourism services. The policy has been officially approved by the Board of Governors, with implementation expected to begin shortly.
