Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to participate in the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit, taking place over two days in Baku, Azerbaijan, starting tomorrow.
Themed “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Future,” the summit will bring together regional leaders to discuss key economic and environmental priorities.
PM Shehbaz will lead the Pakistani delegation, presenting Pakistan’s stance on pressing regional and global issues. He will reiterate the country’s commitment to the ECO Vision 2025, and advocate for:
- Enhanced intra-regional trade
- Improved transport and connectivity
- Strengthened energy cooperation
- Sustainable development goals
On the sidelines of the summit, the Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with other ECO leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation.
The summit marks an important opportunity for Pakistan to contribute to shaping a more integrated, resilient, and prosperous region.
