Pakistan cricket board advertises head coach and director of high performance positions.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially advertised the position of Head Coach for the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team, seeking a long-term appointment. This comes as the board aims to solidify the future direction of the national team under new leadership.

Aqib Javed, who was appointed as interim head coach until the Champions Trophy, had also taken on additional responsibilities during Pakistan’s New Zealand tour. However, sources reveal that Aqib is no longer interested in the head coach role and is instead focusing on the Director of High Performance position, a role that has been vacant since Nadeem Khan’s resignation.

In addition to the head coach role, the PCB has posted a separate advertisement for the Director High Performance position, further highlighting its efforts to strengthen its cricketing infrastructure. The PCB’s decision to consider a foreign head coach also signals a potential shift in strategy as it looks to bring in new expertise and vision for the national team’s future.
