The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted widespread rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in the upper regions of the country from February 19 to 21.
The incoming weather system is expected to improve water availability, benefit agriculture, and enhance the scenic beauty of northern areas.
According to the Met Office, a frontal weather system will enter Pakistan on February 19, bringing rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over the hills of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and parts of Balochistan.
Popular tourist destinations such as Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Swat, and Skardu are likely to receive fresh snowfall, creating breathtaking winter landscapes for visitors.
Meanwhile, Islamabad and major Punjab cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Gujranwala, are expected to receive refreshing showers, which will help improve air quality by reducing pollutants.
