PHC grants transit bail to PTI leaders Omar Ayub and Faisal amin until December 21.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has approved transit bail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub and Faisal Amin until December 21.

Justice Shakeel Ahmad presided over the hearing, where the petitioners sought relief. Their lawyer argued that the applicants, as opposition leaders and members of the National Assembly, were facing multiple cases registered in Islamabad and required transit bail for their protection.

During the proceedings, the court underscored the importance of national stability and stressed the need to resolve disputes through parliamentary dialogue. It also warned against actions that could harm the country.

Addressing Omar Ayub, Justice Ahmad highlighted the responsibilities that come with being an opposition leader, urging both government and opposition representatives to work collaboratively for the nation’s welfare.

Omar Ayub informed the court about the filing of multiple FIRs against him, including allegations as unusual as motorcycle theft, despite his role as an opposition leader and a member of the Judicial Commission.

Following the deliberations, the PHC granted transit bail to both Omar Ayub and Faisal Amin, providing them relief until December 21.
