An anti-terrorism court has extended the physical remand of PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan by six days in a case alleging his role in inciting workers to violence.
Judge Amjad Ali Shah directed authorities to present Khan before the court on December 2. Public Prosecutor Zaheer Shah argued that Khan’s lack of cooperation was impeding the progress of the investigation.
The case, registered at New Town police station in Rawalpindi on September 28, accuses Khan of inciting supporters to engage in violent protests.
The prosecution requested a 15-day remand extension to gather further evidence, including records of meetings held with Khan during his time in jail.
