Pakistan’s white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan emphasized on Saturday that the team is actively working to identify the “best” combination ahead of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, set to be held in Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference before the first ODI against Zimbabwe, Rizwan highlighted the importance of the series, noting that it would serve as an opportunity to test the team’s bench strength. “The series against Zimbabwe is crucial for us, as our goal will be to assess our options and try out different combinations,” he said.
Rizwan expressed optimism about the potential of Pakistan’s young squad, stating, “We are excited to show stellar performances against Zimbabwe. It will be a challenging series, as our team consists of several youngsters, but we are confident that we will discover future superstars through this process.”
