Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the Senate, announced on Thursday that the constitutional amendments package will be presented in the Senate on Friday.
Speaking informally to journalists at the Parliament House, Siddiqui noted that both Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and JUI-F Senator Kamran Murtaza expressed optimism regarding the proposed amendments during a recent meeting of the special committee on constitutional reforms.
Siddiqui stated that 90 percent of the work on the amendments has been finalized, expressing hope that the package will be successfully tabled in the Senate on the scheduled date.
