Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif stated on Friday that the proposed constitutional amendment is intended to further marginalize the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In a statement, Saif noted that citizens are increasingly taking to the streets against what he described as the “fascist” government, asserting that the PTI will persist in its protests until the release of PTI Founder Imran Khan and other political prisoners.
Saif criticized the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for collaborating with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) against the ideology of former party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He emphasized that an independent judiciary is crucial in preventing violations of people’s rights through force and oppression.
“The fake rulers are pressuring the public to support the constitutional amendment,” he said, urging the legal community to protect judicial independence.
