The Nina Theatre Puppet Company, led by talented puppeteer Nina, delivered a mesmerizing performance titled Mettici il cuore (Put Your Heart Into It), providing Karachiites with a magical theatrical experience. Nina, a seasoned puppeteer and narrative theatre artist, charmed the audience—especially families—with her skilled marionette manipulation, creating delightful moments that resonated with children.
The day commenced with a unique street puppet show by French artist Alven Voyagers, who entertained students and passersby with his humor and distinctive style outside the hall.
During her theatre performance, Nina narrated various stories through puppetry, particularly aimed at school children and young patients suffering from thalassemia. The children were fully engaged, laughing and interacting throughout her playful act. In her closing remarks, Nina expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am thankful to all of you. This would not have been possible without your presence.” She also extended her thanks to the ACP and the Italian Consulate for the opportunity to be part of such a grand event. “I travel around the world, sharing emotions like friendship and love through my stories. Performing for children has been a dream of mine since childhood. The people of Karachi are incredibly loving, and I felt great performing here,” she added.
Later in the day, the audience was treated to the thought-provoking play V-Gen – Error 404: Not Found, a satirical examination of denial, delusion, deception, decay, despotism, and despair. Directed by Bazelah Mustafa, the play featured actors Ali Sher, Ram Gond, Tanveer Gill, and Kiran, attracting a large crowd and filling the hall to capacity.
