India proposed as host for men asia cup 2025 in T20 format.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has proposed India as the host for the Men’s Asia Cup in 2025, which will be played in the T20 format. This proposal was announced in the ACC’s Invitation for Expressions of Interest (IEOI) document.

The ACC is currently seeking submissions from interested parties for sponsorship rights covering the period from 2024 to 2027. The Men’s Asia Cup 2024 was recently hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka under a hybrid model.

Looking ahead, the 2027 Men’s Asia Cup will be held in Bangladesh and will feature the ODI format. The teams participating in this tournament will include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, with a sixth team to be determined through a qualifying event.

Additionally, the next Women’s Asia Cup will be held in 2026, also in the T20 format. The 2024 Women’s Asia Cup recently concluded in Dambulla, where Sri Lanka emerged victorious, defeating India by eight wickets in the final.

The ACC document notes that details such as schedules, dates, formats, and venues for these tournaments are tentative and may be subject to change at the ACC’s discretion without any liability.
