On Tuesday, two Levies force personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack on a checkpost in Balochistan’s Pishin District.
Unidentified gunmen on motorcycles targeted the checkpost on Kali Malizai Road, resulting in the deaths of officers Yasir Ilyas and Abdul Qadeer. Both officers sustained three bullet wounds each. The attackers fled the scene after the assault.
The bodies of the slain Levies personnel were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later handed over to their families following medical procedures.
In response to the attack, local security officials arrived promptly, cordoned off the area, and initiated a search operation to apprehend those responsible.
Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyred officers.
