Boeing CEO apologizes for NTSB rule violation.

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun issued an apology and pledged adherence to government regulations following criticism from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The NTSB had accused Boeing of disclosing confidential information about the mid-air panel blowout of the 737 MAX, according to the safety panel’s top official, Jennifer Homendy.

In a statement to Reuters, Homendy revealed that Calhoun personally contacted her after the NTSB’s rebuke on June 27. “He said they were reviewing with everyone the protocols for NTSB investigations,” Homendy stated, describing the conversation as constructive.

Boeing has committed to ensuring compliance with NTSB rules moving forward, marking a proactive step in addressing the controversy surrounding the incident.
