PCB chairman mohsin naqvi explores potential for sports events in Balochistan.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed confidence in the viability of hosting both national and international sports events in Balochistan, emphasizing the province’s potential as a venue for major competitions.

During a press conference held at the Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti Cricket Stadium, Naqvi disclosed discussions regarding the possibility of organizing Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Quetta.

Accompanied by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Home and Tribal Affairs Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, former caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, and PCB officials, Naqvi visited the stadium where he received a briefing from PCB officials.

Highlighting the significance of the visit, Naqvi underscored the provincial government’s longstanding demand for floodlights at the stadium, affirming that their installation would be expedited within three months. This development is poised to bolster cricket and sports activities in the region, providing opportunities for talented youth to showcase their skills on a national platform.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti expressed gratitude to the federal minister for prioritizing sports development in Balochistan, affirming the province’s commitment to nurturing athletic talent and fostering a vibrant sports culture.
