Pakistan peoples’ party clinches simple majority in Sindh assembly, poised to form provincial government.

In a significant electoral development, the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has attained a simple majority in the Sindh Assembly, securing the necessary numbers to establish the provincial government. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially released results for 85 Sindh constituencies, confirming the PPP’s dominance in the province.

The detailed breakdown reveals that the PPP has secured victory in 71 general seats, paving the way for the party to lead the provincial government. Additionally, the party is set to obtain 16 women and four majority seats, making a total of 85 seats required for a majority in the assembly.

While the PPP has already achieved a substantial victory, results for 40 seats are yet to be announced. The party is actively engaged in efforts to secure an additional 17 seats, further solidifying its position in the assembly and fortifying its mandate.
