The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 Event Technical Committee has given its nod to the inclusion of Robbie Foulkes as a replacement for Rahman Hekmat in the New Zealand squad. Hekmat, facing a setback due to a lumbar bone stress injury sustained in training, made way for the batting all-rounder Foulkes.
The process of replacing a player mandates the approval of the Event Technical Committee, ensuring the legitimacy and compliance with tournament regulations. Robbie Foulkes is now officially part of the New Zealand squad, set to contribute his skills in the upcoming ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024.
The Event Technical Committee, overseeing this crucial decision-making process, is composed of esteemed members including Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager – Cricket and Chair of the ETC), Wanele Mngomezulu (Host Tournament Director), Sarah Edgar (IBC Representative), and Samuel Badree (Independent Representative). Their collective expertise and diligence play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and fairness of the tournament.
