Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar chaired a meeting regarding Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) affairs, directing the evolution of a comprehensive strategy for organizing Pakistan Super League Season 9 (PSL-9) matches across the country. The PSL is scheduled for February 2024, with matches in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. Emphasizing national interest and dignity, PM Kakar urged efficient management committee elections for PCB. He highlighted the need to promote cricket in remote areas, instructing the restoration of Bugti Stadium in Quetta and Arbab-e Niaz Stadium in Peshawar for international matches, while planning new stadiums with modern facilities.
