LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Initiates Candidate Selection for General Elections

PML-N, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, has commenced its selection process for candidates aspiring to contest in the upcoming general elections. In this regard, the party has released application forms for individuals interested in running for both National and provincial assembly seats. These forms will be available for collection from November 1st to 10th.

For those seeking nominations to the National Assembly, both general and reserved seats, a fee of 2 lac rupees is required to obtain the party ticket. Meanwhile, candidates vying for general and reserved seats in the provincial assembly will need to pay 1 lac rupees.

Applicants are instructed to submit their forms along with the required fees in the form of a bank draft to the PML-N secretariat in Lahore. Additionally, aspiring candidates must submit an affidavit, demonstrating their unwavering trust in the leadership of the party’s founder, Nawaz Sharif, and the PML-N President, Shehbaz Sharif.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that all applicants are expected to adhere to the party’s discipline, irrespective of whether they secure the party ticket.

The application form also highlights the candidates’ obligation to fulfill the criteria outlined in Article 62 and 63 of the constitution of Pakistan. Moreover, applicants are required to submit details of their contributions to the promotion of democracy and their past performance in their respective constituencies.

Intensive Preparations for Election Manifesto

The PML-N is actively preparing its election manifesto, focusing on showcasing its past performance. The party has decided to underscore the development projects that were initiated during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, shaping their campaign around their historical achievements.

During a recent party meeting, it was agreed that the PML-N’s election manifesto will be finalized soon, followed by the announcement of the parliamentary board. After the selection of candidates, the party’s leader, Nawaz Sharif, will address public rallies throughout the country.
