KARACHI (Dunya News) – In a series of operations, law enforcement agencies in Karachi arrested four individuals on Monday night, each of whom was connected to a string of serious crimes in the city.
In the first incident, police apprehended a burglar after an exchange of fire. Authorities received information about a group of criminals involved in snatching valuables from people on a public road. Responding swiftly, the police arrived at the scene. When the robbers saw the approaching law enforcement, they resorted to opening fire. In response, the police returned fire and successfully injured one of the robbers, who sustained a bullet wound to the leg. Subsequently, the wounded individual was taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while his other accomplices managed to escape.
In a separate incident that took place in the Clifton area, another robber was arrested following a brief shootout with the police. The suspect was injured during the exchange of gunfire and subsequently apprehended. It was revealed that this individual had been involved in numerous thefts. Furthermore, authorities recovered stolen valuables and a firearm from the arrested individual. The accused, identified as Lal Muhammad, had been known to break vehicle windscreens to steal items.
Lastly, in the Mominabad area, the police detained two individuals engaged in the illegal trade of selling prohibited tobacco products. Mobile phones and cash were seized from the suspects. The concerted efforts of law enforcement agencies led to the apprehension of these individuals, potentially curbing their involvement in illegal activities.
The successful operations underscore the commitment of the Karachi police in maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of the city’s residents.
