In a successful operation, the Dera police in Dera Ismail Khan seized 5,000 liters of Iranian diesel and various non-custom paid items valued at Rs2 million within the jurisdiction of the Daraban police.
A police spokesperson revealed that this operation was part of an intensified crackdown on the smuggling of illegal diesel and non-custom paid items, conducted under the directives of Regional Police Officer Nasir Mehmood Satti and District Police Officer Abdul Rauf Babar Qaisrani.
As per the details, during an inspection of the truck with the registration number Tka-995, Daraban police discovered and confiscated 5,000 liters of illegal diesel, valued at approximately Rs1.4 million. The truck, along with the seized diesel, was then handed over to Customs authorities.
In a separate operation, the police conducted a vehicle check of LES-1086, where they found non-custom paid items, including 10 sacks of powdered milk and 16 sacks of Iranian shopping bags, with an estimated worth of Rs0.4 million. These items were subsequently handed over to the Customs authorities.
