American actress Sydney Sweeney has opened up about her admiration for co-star Amanda Seyfried, calling herself “obsessed” with the Mamma Mia! star as the two work together on their upcoming film The Housemaid.
The Euphoria actress made the comments during her December 1 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she shared how surreal it felt to act alongside someone she has idolized for years.
“I’m obsessed with her,” Sydney said with a laugh. “She knows how much I am with her. I am like the biggest Mamma Mia! fan.”
A Dream Collaboration
Sydney revealed that she even convinced Seyfried to film a fun TikTok with her on set.
“All my dreams came true! It was amazing,” she told Jimmy Fallon.
The actress also recalled sending Seyfried a video from a trip to Africa with friends:
“We were dancing on the beach, and I sent a video to Amanda. I was like, ‘You are forever my icon. I love you.’”

Amanda Seyfried has also spoken warmly about Sydney, telling Entertainment Tonight that she’d be thrilled to see her join Mamma Mia! 3.
“Sydney could show up,” Seyfried said. “There’s a bunch of girls that really want to be a part of it, and I’m all for it.”
