Andrew Cabot, estranged husband of former Astronomer HR head Kristin Cabot, has spoken out about their divorce following her alleged affair with former CEO Andy Byron—a relationship that was unexpectedly exposed during a Coldplay concert earlier this year.
Cabot’s representative confirmed that the couple had already “privately and amicably separated several weeks before” the July 16 incident at Gillette Stadium, when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin inadvertently revealed their romance on the venue’s kiss-cam.
“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” the statement read. “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.” The couple share no children.
The scandal first erupted when Byron and Kristin Cabot, both still legally married at the time, were caught in an intimate embrace on the stadium screen. In the awkward aftermath, Byron ducked behind a barrier while Kristin tried to cover her face, but footage quickly went viral. Social media users soon identified the pair, and Astronomer later confirmed their identities.
The fallout was swift: both Byron and Kristin resigned from their roles at the New York-based tech company. Kristin filed for divorce in Portsmouth on August 13.
