COAS Asim Munir condemns India’s proxy war, reaffirms commitment to Balochistan’s stability and development.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has strongly denounced India’s escalation of its proxy war, labeling it a desperate move following its defeat in the “Marka-e-Haq.”

During an interaction with participants of the 16th National Workshop Balochistan, the COAS addressed a broad spectrum of stakeholders—including parliamentarians, civil society members, civil servants, academics, media professionals, and youth—according to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Army Chief reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism and stressed the critical importance of Balochistan’s socio-economic development in fostering national unity and integration.

He condemned India’s open support for terrorist proxies, calling it a failed attempt to undermine the strong patriotism of the people of Balochistan. He specifically referred to “Fitna-al-Khawarij” and “Fitna-al-Hindustan” as tools of India’s hybrid warfare, asserting that they too would face defeat and disgrace, just as they did in “Marka-e-Haq,” Insha Allah.

Field Marshal Munir emphasized that terrorism recognizes no boundaries of religion, sect, or ethnicity, and called for a united national stance to counter this threat. He also highlighted the vital role of development projects in Balochistan, urging stronger inter-agency coordination and a unified national strategy to ensure sustainable progress.

Reiterating Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace, the COAS assured that the country remains fully prepared to respond robustly to any internal or external threats, defending its sovereignty and safeguarding its people.
