Pakistan’s under-16 volleyball team delivered a sensational performance to defeat arch-rivals India in straight sets, 3-0, in the semifinal of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. The emphatic win has propelled Pakistan into the final of the prestigious tournament, where they will face defending champions Iran.
Right from the opening serve, Pakistan displayed remarkable dominance and energy, giving India little room to build any momentum. The final scores — 25-16, 25-19, and 25-12 — reflect Pakistan’s overwhelming control and superiority in every aspect of the match.
Statistically, Pakistan outshined India in all departments. In attack points, Pakistan scored 37 compared to India’s 25. Their performance at the net was equally impressive with 13 block points, while India could only manage four. Even in the service game, Pakistan maintained a slight edge with five service points against India’s four.
Leading Pakistan’s charge was Muhammad Junaid, who emerged as the standout player of the match. He contributed 19 points, including 11 from powerful attacks, constantly putting India’s defense under pressure. Faizan Ullah added to the onslaught with 12 points, while Talha Mehar and Irfan chipped in with seven points each, underlining the balanced and collective team effort that defined Pakistan’s victory.
