Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will visit Türkiye to attend the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), scheduled for 21–22 June 2025.
During the session’s plenary discussions, Senator Dar will present Pakistan’s perspective on key regional and global developments, including the evolving situation in South Asia after the ceasefire arrangement between Pakistan and India, and the Middle East crisis following recent Israeli military actions against Iran and other regional countries.
He will reaffirm Pakistan’s firm support for the Palestinian cause, stressing the urgent need for lasting peace in the Middle East and immediate humanitarian assistance for Gaza. He is expected to call for unified action by the Muslim world to address the escalating humanitarian crisis.
Senator Dar will also spotlight the growing threat of Islamophobia, urging the international community to take concrete measures to combat religious intolerance. He will highlight the importance of addressing rising extremism, terrorism, and climate change as pressing global challenges.
He will reiterate Pakistan’s commitment to the OIC’s objectives and principles, and its dedication to finding collective solutions to issues facing the Muslim Ummah.
On the sidelines of the conference, Senator Dar will engage in bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of other OIC member states to strengthen diplomatic ties and promote mutual cooperation.
Before the CFM officially begins, the Deputy Prime Minister will attend the OIC Youth Forum Grand Youth Award ceremony, where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye will be honored for his leadership and contributions to the Muslim youth and the broader Islamic world.
