Pakistani actress Komal Meer has finally addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding her appearance, tackling rumours of cosmetic surgery and recent weight gain head-on during a candid podcast interview.
Known for her captivating looks and impactful performances, Komal opened up about the rising societal pressure—on both celebrities and everyday individuals—to pursue cosmetic enhancements.
“Nowadays, everyone seems to be getting cosmetic work done,” she shared. “In fact, I’ve seen regular women spending more than celebrities on such treatments.”
However, she firmly denied undergoing any procedures herself. “I swear, I haven’t had any procedures done. People keep complimenting my cheeks but not noticing that I have a double chin,” she said with a laugh.
The conversation also delved into the harsh reality of body-shaming—a topic Komal has faced repeatedly. She revealed that she had gained only six kilograms for a role in an upcoming drama, which has since been put on hold.
“I don’t get why people feel the need to shame me over my body. Even when I was thin, they had something bad to say,” she expressed.
Komal explained that the weight gain was a conscious decision made for her character. “I took the role seriously and allowed myself to ease up on my strict diet,” she said.
Addressing online trolls directly, she stated: “To those trolling me, please don’t resent my weight gain. Let me live my life. I’ll be hitting the gym soon and getting back in shape. And for everyone asking about my diet routine—don’t worry, I’ll be sharing it soon.”
With her honesty and confidence, Komal Meer continues to inspire fans by standing up against unrealistic beauty standards and embracing authenticity.
