Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt is once again in the spotlight, this time facing legal action under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertains to blasphemy.
The case was registered at the Nishtar Colony Police Station following the launch of his perfume named ‘295.’ The fragrance’s title, a direct reference to the blasphemy law, has ignited widespread backlash and debate. Many critics argue that the name, combined with its association with the late Indian singer Sidhu MooseWala — who referenced Section 295 in his music — was a deliberate move to provoke controversy.
The complaint was filed by Ramzan Bhatti, who accused Butt of disrespecting the sanctity of the blasphemy laws. The outrage from various communities has intensified, adding to the growing scrutiny around Butt’s actions.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the controversy surrounding Rajab Butt’s latest move continues to dominate discussions.
