The federal government has officially declared a three-day public holiday for Eidul Fitr 2025, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division. The holidays will span from March 31 (Monday) to April 2 (Wednesday).
When is Eid Expected?
Astronomers have predicted that Eidul Fitr in Pakistan will fall on March 31 (Monday), as the holy month of Ramazan is expected to last 29 days. Experts state that on the evening of March 30, the crescent moon will be 26 hours old, making it clearly visible.
However, the final confirmation will come from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will officially announce the date based on moon sighting reports, following Islamic traditions.
