As in previous years, Muslims are eagerly anticipating the official announcement of Eidul Fitr’s exact date.
According to the meteorological department, the Shawwal moon is expected to be born on March 29 at 3:58 AM. In light of this, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene on March 30 (29th Ramadan) to observe the moon.
Experts suggest that the moon will be approximately 27 hours old at the time of observation and should be clearly visible for about an hour. A spokesperson indicated a strong likelihood that the moon will be sighted on March 30, which would mean that Eidul Fitr will be celebrated on March 31.
However, the official confirmation will come from the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee following their deliberations.
