Champions trophy 2025: India vs Bangladesh – spin strategy & bangladesh fast bowling strengt.

India is set to take on Bangladesh in the second Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at Dubai International Stadium.

India’s Spin-Heavy Strategy 🏏

With all matches scheduled in Dubai, India’s decision to go with a spin-heavy squad has sparked discussions. Addressing concerns, captain Rohit Sharma explained the logic behind including five spinners in the squad.

🗣️ “These three guys bring depth to our squad. They contribute with both bat and ball, which is why we wanted to include players who offer two skills rather than just one,” said Rohit Sharma, emphasizing the value of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar.

Bangladesh’s Confidence in Their Pace Attack 💥

On the other side, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto has made a bold statement ahead of the crucial clash, highlighting his team’s improved fast-bowling attack.

🗣️ “We have always struggled with our seam attack, but in the last couple of years, we have developed some quality fast bowlers.”

Shanto specifically praised Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed, saying:
“Now we have Nahid Rana and Taskin, and the way they are bowling helps a lot. As a captain, I love to see them bowling fast.”

Pakistan’s Champions Trophy Setback 😨

Meanwhile, in the opening match, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 60 runs, courtesy of brilliant centuries from Tom Latham and Will Young.

This result puts Pakistan in a tough spot, as they now face India on February 23 in Dubai before taking on Bangladesh on February 27 in Rawalpindi.
