Pakistan signs agreement for dhabeji special economic zone development.

The government has officially signed an agreement with Chinese and local investors to establish the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Thatta, marking a key step in the development of Pakistan’s industrial landscape. The project will be completed under a public-private partnership model as part of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Strategically located near the ports of Karachi, the Dhabeji SEZ is set to become a vital connectivity point for global trade routes, further enhancing Pakistan’s position in international commerce. The zone is expected to attract significant investment, estimated at $3 billion, and generate thousands of jobs, making it a promising opportunity for both local and international investors.

Chinese businesses have shown strong interest in expanding their operations within the Dhabeji SEZ, underlining the growing industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China. This agreement is seen as a crucial milestone in fostering bilateral economic ties and aiding Pakistan’s economic revival.
