The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cold and dry weather in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with very cold conditions expected in hilly areas.
Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist in most districts of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night hours. Additionally, light rain and isolated snowfall are expected in northwestern Balochistan.
The synoptic situation indicates that continental air is dominating most regions, while a shallow westerly wave is affecting the northwestern parts of the country.
Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry conditions were observed nationwide, with hilly areas experiencing very cold and partly cloudy weather. Moderate to dense fog enveloped large parts of Punjab.
Leh recorded the lowest temperature in the country on Tuesday, plummeting to -12°C.
