Educational activities resumed on Monday in both government and private schools across Punjab following the long winter holidays.
In response to the ongoing cold wave, the Punjab Education Department announced revised school timings for both private and government institutions. According to the notification, schools will now operate from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on weekdays and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.
Additionally, special education institutions have been permitted to relax uniform rules, with this policy remaining in effect from January 13 to February 15, 2025.
The winter vacation schedule was initially revised on December 18, 2024, by the Punjab School Education Department. The holidays commenced on December 23, 2024, and concluded on January 13, 2025, marking the official reopening of schools.
