The Punjab government has announced plans to introduce 102 environmentally friendly electric buses to enhance public transportation in Rawalpindi.
The initiative, approved during a Provincial Development Working Party meeting, will cover an 84-kilometer area across 10 designated routes.
With a total project cost exceeding 7 billion rupees, the government has already allocated 4.7 billion rupees for its implementation. The Punjab Mass Transit Authority will oversee the project, which aims to improve travel convenience while significantly reducing air pollution.
