Mandy Moore recently shared her relatable parenting challenges through Instagram Stories, revealing the exhaustion of managing early wake-ups from her toddlers. On Saturday, the actress and singer explained she was “going crazy” after being woken up at 4:30 a.m. by her young children. Moore and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, are parents to three kids: 3-year-old son August “Gus,” 2-year-old son Oscar “Ozzie,” and their 2-month-old daughter Louise “Lou” Everett.
“Guys, what do I do to get my toddlers to not wake up at 4:30 and then stay up?” Moore asked, sharing her frustrations with her followers. “I’m about to go crazy. This is not sustainable.” She further described finding one of her sons already downstairs, lights on, and playing with his toys. “Cool cool cool,” she wrote, highlighting the humor and chaos of parenting young children.
Moore also expressed her gratitude for the advice she received from fans who reassured her that this phase is temporary. “Thanks to those of you who reminded me it’s a phase. Seems like many friends have been through this or are going through it,” she shared. Despite the overwhelming situation, Moore maintained her sense of humor, adding, “Oooof. Being super sick, with a newborn and a husband OOT [out of town]. I’m ready for the next phase lol.”
The new mom of three has been candid about the joys and challenges of motherhood. In September 2024, she announced the birth of her baby girl, Lou, in an Instagram post, calling her “our absolute dream girl.” Moore expressed her gratitude for her family of five and noted how much Lou’s older brothers adore her. She wrote, “Endlessly grateful for our family of 5 (and our very own big three) and soaking in every moment of this special time.”
As a mother balancing a newborn and two toddlers, Moore’s openness resonates with many parents facing similar struggles. Her lighthearted approach and acknowledgment of the tough yet rewarding phases of parenting serve as a reminder that such moments are both challenging and fleeting.
