Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has formally indicted three judicial officers on multiple charges, including corruption. Following her approval, a notification detailing the indictments has been issued.
According to the notification, civil judge Shazia Perveen has been dismissed from her position, while civil judge Shehbaz Hussain has been demoted by four levels. Additionally, fines have been imposed on additional civil judge Abdullah Usman.
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum announced the verdict after reviewing the arguments presented by the judicial officers and examining the relevant records. The accusations against the judges involve corruption and other misconduct, underscoring the court’s commitment to maintaining integrity within the judiciary.
