Linkin Park has made a powerful comeback with a new lineup, marking their first release since the tragic passing of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017. On Thursday, the band debuted their new members, vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, during a livestream event. Armstrong now shares vocal duties with returning member Mike Shinoda, while Brittain replaces original drummer Rob Bourdon.
During the livestream, the band premiered their new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” followed by a performance of the fan-favorite “Somewhere I Belong,” where Armstrong’s vocals paid tribute to Bennington’s legacy. Mike Shinoda expressed the significance of the moment, announcing that the band’s new album, From Zero, will be released on November 15.
The upcoming album references the band’s original name, Xero, symbolizing both their beginnings and their new journey. In addition to the album, Linkin Park also revealed their “From Zero World Tour,” with arena shows set for Los Angeles, New York, London, Hamburg, Seoul, and Bogotá later this year.
