The federal government announced the appointment of Ambreen Jan as the new Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting on Friday. Jan, a senior officer of the Information Group at Grade 21, was confirmed for the role through a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division.
Before this role, Jan served as the Executive Director General of the External Publicity Wing within the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Her appointment comes under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973.
