Joshua Castellano of the USA has triumphed at the North American Scrabble Championship, defeating Waseem Khatri of Pakistan in a best-of-five final held in South Bend, USA. This victory marks Castellano’s significant achievement in the competitive Scrabble arena.
Waseem Khatri, who was also a finalist in the 2022 championship, had to settle for the runner-up position once again. Alec Sjoholm of the USA secured the third place.
Following the championship, Waseem Khatri will remain in the USA to compete in another major tournament, The Word Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico from July 27 to 31.
