The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted bail extensions to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry, and Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed in connection with four cases related to the events of May 9.
The ATC convened on Friday to review the bail applications of these PTI leaders. However, the proceedings did not advance due to the absence of ATC Judge Arshad Javed, who was on leave.
The court has adjourned the hearing until June 12, extending the bails of the PTI leaders until that date.
It is noteworthy that the cases from May 9 are filed against the accused PTI leaders at the Gulberg, Model Town, and Naseerabad police stations.
Additionally, on Thursday, PTI leaders Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, among others, received extensions on their interim bails in a separate vandalism case.
