Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has been granted pre-arrest bail in connection with the Zille Shah murder case, a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings. The Lahore High Court, presided over by Judge Anwaarul Haq Pannun, entertained Chaudhry’s interim bail petition on Tuesday, marking a pivotal moment in the legal saga.
During the court session, the public prosecutor raised concerns about Chaudhry allegedly concealing pertinent details, including the involvement of a motorcar in the incident. However, Justice Pannun sought clarification on the bailability of the charges against Chaudhry, which the prosecutor confirmed.
Following deliberations, the court approved the bail application of the former minister, offering a temporary reprieve amidst the legal complexities surrounding the Zille Shah murder case.
