The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has commenced a two-day official visit to Pakistan from May 8th to 9th.
Upon his arrival, the Uzbek foreign minister received a cordial reception, being greeted by Aizaz Khan, the Director General (Central Asia & ECO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his stay, Foreign Minister Saidov is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and engage in comprehensive discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. These discussions will cover a broad spectrum of bilateral matters, with a particular emphasis on trade and connectivity, as highlighted in a press release from the Foreign Office.
It is anticipated that both nations will sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during the course of the visit, further solidifying their bilateral cooperation and partnerships.
The visit of the Uzbek foreign minister is anticipated to inject renewed vigor into the friendly relations existing between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, fostering closer collaboration and cooperation across various sectors.
