Former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson has been selected to represent the United States in the upcoming T20 World Cup, as confirmed by USA Cricket.
Anderson, known for his dynamic performances, previously played for New Zealand in the 50-overs World Cup in 2015 and participated in two T20 World Cups with the team.
Despite his last appearance for New Zealand in 2018, Anderson debuted for the United States during the home T20 series against Canada last month, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
The 33-year-old’s inclusion adds experience and firepower to the USA squad, which will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Monank Patel as captain.
The team, comprising 15 members, will compete in a series of T20 Internationals against Bangladesh in Houston before commencing their T20 World Cup campaign with a match against Canada on June 1 in Dallas.
