Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, addressing the media during his visit to the mausoleum of the founding father of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in Karachi, emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring transparent and fair elections. Referring to the founder of the nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Kakar noted that Jinnah consistently advocated for the rights of minorities. The current government, according to Kakar, is steadfast in fulfilling its constitutional obligations. He pledged full support and assistance for transparent and impartial elections, intending to make every effort to make the process acceptable to all ideologies and groups.
The prime minister made these remarks during his visit to Jinnah’s mausoleum, where he was accompanied by prominent figures including Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister of Sindh Justice (Retd) Mqbool Baqar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi, and other cabinet members. Kakar expressed the honor of paying homage at Jinnah’s mausoleum and participated in reciting the Fatiha (opening chapter of the Quran) as a mark of respect.
Highlighting the purpose for which Jinnah founded the nation, Kakar emphasized that this government came into existence to reiterate Jinnah’s mission. In response to constitutional demands, this administration has taken its place for a limited period. During the electoral process, they are committed to using all their capacities and roles to ensure supervision and assistance. The overarching aim is to carry out this process transparently and impartially, allowing all schools of thought and communities to find the process acceptable. Ultimately, this endeavor aims to complete the transition of power in Pakistan through constitutional and legal means.
