The concluding day of the 16th Pakistan Pharma and Healthcare Expo at Lahore’s Expo Center saw Health Minister emphasizing Pakistan’s strong position in the pharmaceutical industry, urging for optimism regarding its growth. He noted how advancements in science have transformed the pharmaceutical business worldwide, benefiting both local industries and foreign companies, as well as promoting investment in the country.
During the event, Dr. Javed Akram, along with various organizers, toured different stalls and engaged in discussions with local and international exhibitors. The organizer, Kamran Abbasi, informed the Minister about the presence of 400 stalls showcasing medical and laboratory equipment, chemicals, research and testing laboratories, packaging suppliers, pharmaceutical printing, pharmaceutical chemicals, lab chemicals, and pharmaceutical instruments, among others.
The two-day event resulted in the signing of over 200 business deals worth millions of rupees, underscoring the potential for economic growth and investment opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector in Pakistan. Additionally, the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) organized a conference during both days of the expo, attracting 100 local and international exhibitors. The exhibition played a significant role in attracting individuals associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical businesses, showcasing a wide range of products and services.
