Azam Nazeer Tarar asserted that the PML-N is fully prepared for the upcoming elections. He mentioned that the party has also formed parliamentary boards to select suitable candidates. This statement indicates that the PML-N is gearing up for the electoral process, even though the exact election date remains uncertain.

Dar asserted that many decisions in the past were influenced by political vengeance, and it is now time to set things right. He acknowledged that a number of contentious issues need to be addressed and rectified, with the intent of moving forward and resolving lingering disputes.

Dr. Faisal Sultan also clarified that there were no complaints or concerns related to food poisoning raised by the PTI Chairman during their meeting. He further pointed out that the Chairman is actively engaging in physical activities, including sports.

The crux of the issue revolved around the election date. The Election Commission recommended February 11 as the date for the general elections. In contrast, President Arif Alvi pressed for holding the elections on February 4, immediately after the completion of the electoral process.

The Election Commission was given until February 11th to finalize the date for the general elections, as decided during the Supreme Court’s hearings.

Zardari’s speech highlighted the Pakistan People’s Party’s dominance in the province of Sindh, a region where the party has consistently secured electoral victories. He emphasized that these victories were a testament to the people’s trust in the PPP and their commitment to serving the public interest.

Beyond these broad guidelines, the constitution contains provisions for ensuring transparency and fairness in the electoral process. These include rules for the nomination of candidates, campaigning, and the role of political parties. The constitution also upholds the principles of universal suffrage, gender equality, and non-discrimination.
