The scrutiny of nomination papers for different constituencies and categories will continue until December 30. This marks a crucial step in the lead-up to the general elections, setting the stage for a diverse array of candidates vying for electoral success. However, a recent statement from the Election Commission’s spokesperson contradicted Khattak’s assertion. The spokesperson clarified that the ECP did not propose the electoral symbol ‘bat’ for Pervez Khattak or anyone else.

Zardari emphasized the need for the PTI to put in effort, stating that they should work hard. He suggested that progress was not possible without hard work, and now is the time for the PTI to demonstrate diligence.

The Election Commission of Pakistan plays a pivotal role in overseeing and conducting elections in the country. The funds generated from nomination papers fees contribute to the overall functioning and operational expenses of the Election Commission.

Hashmi went on to express gratitude to Nawaz Sharif, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, acknowledging his significant contributions to Sindh despite limited resources. He highlighted Nawaz Sharif’s efforts and achievements in Sindh, underscoring the impact made despite facing resource constraints.

Dastgir insisted that negotiations with the PPP are ongoing, and the final decision on tickets will pave the way for further discussions on the space each party will have. He revealed that discussions on accommodating PPP in Punjab are underway, and there is no pressure on the PML-N to adjust solely in Punjab. He expressed a willingness to move forward with other parties in a collaborative manner.

It is noteworthy that the Balochistan High Court had earlier modified the constituency delimitation done by the Election Commission. However, the Supreme Court declared the decision of the Balochistan High Court null and void, accepting the Election Commission’s appeal.
