Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has directed the Energy Ministry to develop an effective and lasting strategy to reduce the circular debt affecting the energy sector. During a meeting to discuss a strategy for reducing circular debt, PM Kakar emphasized the need for all stakeholders to collectively contribute to addressing the issue. The caretaker government has already implemented measures for economic revival, and ongoing efforts are being made to reduce circular debt. The meeting received a briefing on the current circular debt situation in the petroleum and energy sectors, with various proposals presented. Federal ministers Dr. Shamshad Akhtar and Muhammad Ali, along with relevant senior officers, attended the meeting.
