Shah Khawar appointed interim chief of Pakistan cricket board following Zaka Ashraf’s resignation.

In response to the vacancy created by the resignation of Zaka Ashraf, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Shah Khawar as the interim chief on Wednesday. Shah Khawar will be responsible for overseeing PCB affairs until the election of a permanent chairman.

Upon assuming his interim role, Khawar visited the PCB headquarters, where he received a warm welcome from Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, directors, and other staff members. Officials are set to brief him on crucial matters related to the board.

Shah Khawar is expected to play a key role in supervising the upcoming PCB elections. The caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, is anticipated to contest for the chairman’s position in the elections, which are likely to take place within a month. Until the elections, Naqvi will serve as a member of the Board of Governors, contributing to the governance of the PCB.
