Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar highlighted the active role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in attracting Gulf investors, including Qatar, to explore opportunities in key sectors. During a meeting with Qatari Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater in Islamabad, PM Kakar emphasized the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar. Expressing a desire to enhance cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, PM Kakar encouraged exploring collaboration in tourism and media. The prime minister also commended Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in achieving a temporary ceasefire in Gaza and urged collective international efforts, especially from the Muslim Ummah, to bring peace to Palestine. This marked Al-Khater’s first call on PM Kakar since assuming ambassadorial duties in November. The prime minister extended congratulations and hoped for further strengthening of bilateral friendship during Al-Khater’s tenure.
